#Biblefresh Church Leaders Pledge

As Biblefresh gears up for 2011, visit the ‘Church Leader’s Pledge‘ on the #Biblefresh site:

We expect to see this map peppered with churches as churches return from summer camps, and turn their eyes towards planning for 2011.

What is the pledge?
“As a church, we’re asking you in 2011 to pledge to:

  • Read the Bible together as a church
  • Invest in training the whole church to understand and apply the Bible
  • Raise money to translate the Bible for Burkina Faso
  • Help people experience the Bible in new and creative ways.”

The Big Read 2011
Do please consider joining us in The Big Read for 2011, where we’ll be studying Matthew together over Lent, using materials written by Tom Wright. There will be opportunities to share challenges, encouragements and discussions with those from other churches, and to upload reflective materials.

Not Confident in Using New Media?
It will be possible to engage fully with the Lent Course offline, but we are preparing a new and exciting layer of material to make best use of current New Media trends (it’s the language that many are talking). We’d encourage all church leaders, those who are enthusiastic (or indeed sceptical) about the role of new media, and those who are interested in the theological issues that new media poses, to come along.
