#BigRead13: Day 3: Humour

Each day we will select an extract from the Narnia novels, The Screwtape Letters or Mere Christianity, combined with a Bible passage (not necessarily restricted to Luke’s gospel), something to think about, a prayer, and an action (usually from @40Acts).

Wed love it, if youre blogging, that you draw attention to other resources online that we can also connect with.

The Magician's NephewC.S. Lewis, The Magician’s Nephew

“Laugh and fear not, creatures. Now that you are no longer dumb and witless, you need not always be grave. For jokes as well as justice come with speech.”

Bible: Psalm 126:2 http://bible.cc/psalms/126-2.htm

Think:  How do you appreciate the sense of humour that God gave each of us?

Pray: We thank you that we can have times of laughter in our everyday lives, and pray also that we would remember that with that joy comes responsibility for justice.

Action: Check 40Acts for “Make a List”
