Poems, Prayers & the Quest to Articulate with @StephenCherry1 #BigRead14

Following on from the tremendous success of his book Barefoot Disciple, Canon Stephen Cherry (pictured right) of Durham Cathedral (and Director of Ministerial Development and Parish Support in the Diocese of Durham) is about to publish ‘Barefoot Prayers’.

Selected as the key text for BIGBible’s ‘Big Read 2014′ (#BigRead14)  this collection of ‘poem prayers’ will be suitable for personal or group study. If you’d like to get a sneak peek at some of the prayers, learn a little more about Stephen or take part in a conversation about how his prayers seek to articulate his faith then come along to our forthcoming Conversation at the Religious Resources Centre.

Tea and coffee will be provided (1st October 2013).

All are welcome. Attending [email protected] is FREE for Religious Resources Centre members. Non-members will be charged £5 per session. Places and parking are restricted and must be reserved prior to the event. To make a reservation please contact the RRC before the 26th September on 0191 375 0586 or via [email protected].

NOTE: The BIGBible team are currently making good progress with the housegroup material, and further details can be found on BIGBible as details emerge.
