#BigBible ‘Saturday Sessions’

CODEC LogoLondon School of Theology Logo

For the 2012/13 academic year, we have developed a blended format speaker series in conjunction with London School of Theology, held on the first Saturday morning of each month. Speakers are physically based alternately at CODEC and LST, with material being live streamed to the alternate venue and online. We hope that you will join us online, and this will provide rich material for conversation in the weeks following each event.

What’s it all about?

Held on the first Saturday morning of each month, starting October 6th – join us for thought provoking insight (no theological knowledge required). If you’re at LST, stay for lunch to discuss. The ‘live’ venue will alternate between the two sites of Durham and Northward.

Cost LST: £10 (includes light lunch) per session, or £80 for all 10 sessions. CODEC, please just let us know if you’re attending our Durham sessions – no food provided (and no cost).

Venue – held simultaneously at LST and Durham (and streamed free online)

Time – 10.00am till 1pm (10.30-12 online)

Who should attend?

These events are particularly suited for beginners to theological discussion and investigation. You’re looking for something far beyond a recitation of the contents of the different parts of the Bible; any of us can get that just from reading it.

You want someone to explain the background issues that provide the biblical worldview. You’ll be keen to have the toughest of issues raised. You’ll discover a safe environment in which to explore and discuss a stimulating lecture with scope for interaction and discussion over lunch.

Continuing the Discussions

We will be looking for those who are keen to live blog, or blog (whether written, audio, video) after the event to feedback on the points that you took from the sessions, and where you think you ould take the discussion next!

More information to come as the events are developed.
